This video and step by step printable guide teaches students their first kata, Hiji Uchi Goho. This kata uses all of our basic stances (also known as kihon) in the order in which they are taught in the training syllabus.

Step by Step Printable Guide

This video teaches students their second kata, Jyutte. This kata is a lot longer than the first, but introduces students to some exciting new techniques. Students also learn some of the application to this kata, which they practice with a parter. This is known as "bunkai".
